Havells India to invest Rs 3.75 billion in cable manufacturing plant expansion

Havells India, a leading home appliance and electrical goods company, has announced plans to expand its cable manufacturing capacity at its Alwar facility. The company will increase its production capacity from the current 3.29 million kilometres per year to a proposed 4.12 million kilometres per year. Currently, the utilisation of its existing capacity is around 70%.

The expansion will be carried out in phases, with the new capacity expected to be operational by March 2026. The project will involve an investment of approximately Rs 3.75 billion, which will be funded through internal accruals. This 25% capacity expansion aims to meet the growing demand for cables.

Havells India is a prominent player in the fast-moving electrical goods (FMEG) sector and a major manufacturer of power distribution equipment with a strong global presence.
