GUVI's free coding initiative aims training 1L engineering students in TN

GUVI, a company incubated by IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad, has initiated a program aimed at training one lakh engineering students in Tamil Nadu. Through a series of online and offline hackathons spanning three months, students will enhance their coding skills at no cost.

Named the Naan Mudhalvan-Tamil Nadu Coders Premier League, this endeavour is a collaborative effort involving the Government of Tamil Nadu, Anna University, and the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation. The training initiative will empower students through free access to premium upskilling courses offered by GUVI. Level 1 qualifiers will receive mentorship from industry experts, ensuring quality guidance. Top-performing teams will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in technology and programming.

In addition to honing their skills, participants will gain exposure to potential employers in the tech industry. The event not only offers a platform for learning and competition but also rewards outstanding teams with cash prizes and internship opportunities. This initiative will also assist various departments of the Government of Tamil Nadu by providing innovative tech solutions to address challenges.

Open to engineering college students from any domain, interested individuals can register for the NM-TNcpl at the official website without any charge. According to Arun Prakash M, founder and CEO of GUVI, "NM-TNcpl not only fosters a competitive coding environment but also opens doors to numerous opportunities, including cash prizes totalling Rs 2 lakhs and internships for top-performing teams. Moreover, the program focuses on trending technological themes such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Full Stack Development."
