At IMTEX 2015, Aurangabad-based Grind Master Machines Pvt Ltd had launched an advanced gear deburring and chamfering machine in technical collaboration with Samputensili of Italy. The Samputensili-Grind Master (SU-GM) collaboration builds advanced chamfering/deburring machines for automotive manufacturers. The company has now announced the success launch of the first machines built under this collaboration for a global automotive OEM.

The Samputensili Gear Chamfering-Deburring is a reliable system used in manufacturing of spur and helical gears, well recognized for its generation of consistent chamfering results with patented tooling. Grind Master is known for its expertise in metal finishing, deburring and microfinishing. Samputensili is a global brand in gear industry. Under the collaboration Grind Master will build gear chamfering and deburring machines using technology and expertise from Samputensili. The machines will be marketed under a common SU-GM brand name in India, and under the SAMP brand name globally. Three machines built under this agreement were recently inspected by the Samputensili team at Grind Master works. Mr Alessandro Trambioli and the team were very happy with the build of the machine and are excited about promoting more machines in future. "The collaboration with Grind Master has helped us to revive the SCT machine series. 2- 3 more projects are in the pipeline," said Trambioli.

The machine uses original SAMP technology to create accurate chamfering results. The machine uses Grind Master Nanofinish Control system and user-friendly touch HMI interface. "The results from SCT3 machine are clearly superior to competing technologies. It is one of the most copied but never equalled machine! Its success is evident from the fact that it is the preferred technology for many automotive OEMs," said Mrs Mohini Kelkar, MD of Grind Master. The company now looks forward to offering this international product at a competitive price to the Indian market.
