Genie launches New Generation Telehandlers

Singapore, January, 2016 – Genie Industries, a Terex company, committed to reducing the complexity and cost of telehandler ownership, has launched new GTHTM-4014 and GTHTM-4018 telehandlers, a result of a comprehensive redesign of popular European range of High Reach and Rotating models.

The GTHTM-4014 and GTHTM-4018 telehandlers come with new engines that offer new emissions standards (new Stage IIIA and IIIB engines) according to local legislation and offers best-in-class performances with simple and innovative serviceability features for straightforward maintenance.

The new lift performance of these two models is also notable, offering high lift capacity and reach from each compact chassis. The GTHTM-4014 and GTHTM-4018 have a lift height 44ft and 58ft respectively – a record in its class. The hydrostatic transmission and the new gearbox offer the benefits of high torque and high traction speeds. On the job site, their long reach, class-leading outside turning radius, overall machine width and excellent drivability, provide operators the ability to work more productively when performing construction tasks up to five or six floors high, or tasks such as masonry in congested and confined spaces.

These Genie telehandler models combine productivity with operator comfort. The cab has been redesigned to include optional and standard features including an air suspension operator seat, improved joystick ergonomics, a tinted top view front window, a large glove box and manual holder inside the door, plus a repositioned air conditioning duct to optimise operator comfort. New control features include an electrically controlled parking brake, operated by an intuitive switch on the dashboard (instead of the previous manual hydraulic system under the seat) for increased braking efficiency. Focusing on job site safety, excellent visibility from inside the cab provides operators the wide field of vision they need. Thanks to the upgraded overload system, the calibration process is much easier and faster.

“The GTHTM -4014 and GTHTM -4018 telehandlers have undergone stringent testing, the equivalent of 10 years’ operation in the job site environment that ensures reliability, durability and versatility,” said Sharon Foong, General Manager, Terex AWP Southeast Asia. “Both models offer the high quality and productivity that customers expect from Genie equipment to support their needs in the construction, manufacturing, agriculture and mining sectors. We trust that our telehandlers will serve our clients well beyond their expectations.”
