Forward Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd. inks pact with France’s Pernat Industrie

Forward Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd. (Forward), an Indian high-precision component manufacturer, has entered into a joint venture (JV) with France’s Pernat Industrie to produce components for the automotive, aerospace, and defence sectors.

The agreement was formally signed in Chennai, and the new JV firm will be named Pernat Forward. The Pernat Forward facility will span 43,400 sq. ft. at the Sipcot Aerospace Park in Vallam Vadagal, Chennai. “We will manufacture components for gearboxes and transmissions (automotive) and connectors (aerospace). Production will begin in 6-8 weeks,” said Kavya Arun, CEO, Pernat Forward.

Roger Pernat, Chairman, Pernat Forward, highlighted that the JV aims to capitalise on the strengthening Indo-French relations in the defence and automobile sectors. “India has a very good relationship with France,” he added. As part of this JV, Forward and Pernat will collaborate to introduce new technologies to the Indian automotive, aerospace, and defence industries.
