Flomic Global Logistics has announced its strategic decision to focus on the defence logistics segment in India. The company is positioning its capabilities to support the country’s expanding domestic defence-production mandate.
According to industry projections, the Indian defence logistics market is expected to reach US $18.93 billion by 2030, driven by increased government investment in defence infrastructure and procurement. For 2025–26, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has allocated approximately Rs 6.81 trillion, reflecting a robust push towards indigenous production. By comparison, total defence production for 2023–24 reached Rs 1.27 trillion.
With the government’s policy that roughly three-quarters of the capital acquisition budget be directed towards domestic procurement, efficient and secure logistics solutions become critical for the transportation of components, raw materials and finished defence equipment.
Flomic Global Logistics brings comprehensive multimodal services across air, land and sea, along with customs clearing and customs brokerage services. The company is equipped to handle project cargo, including heavy-lift and oversized consignments — a capability well suited to the requirements of large-scale manufacturing and procurement programmes in the defence sector.
“India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem is entering a phase of unprecedented scale and speed, and such growth demands a logistics backbone that is equally robust, compliant, and secure,” said Lancy Barboza, Managing Director, Flomic Global Logistics. “Our global expertise, coupled with deep local operational capability, positions us to support defence OEMs, MSMEs, and public-sector entities as they accelerate indigenous production.”
By extending its global logistics expertise to India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem, Flomic aims to support both private manufacturers and public-sector units in meeting national production targets. This strategic foray marks a confident and timely expansion into one of India’s fastest-growing segments in the transport and logistics domain.
