In its fifth year, the IPF Industrial Excellence Awards are given to small & medium enterprises (SMEs) acknowledging their contribution to the growth of Indian manufacturing sector. Awards are also given for the innovative products, which are made in India and deliver high-value to their customers with their performance. The awards are presented to the fastest growing manufacturing companies (under Rs 500 crore) in SME sector and products that meet the standards of ‘Product Excellence’. The winners are selected by a jury panel comprising eminent personalities from the industry and engineering institutes. Covid 19 has had crippling effect on the economy with muted demand and disrupted supply chain. Economic activity took severe beating in the first of 2020 as the government enforced shutdown across the country. In the second half of 2020, economy is showing signs of improvement with demand slowly picking up after the government’s unlock policy. With a slew of incentive schemes to boost manufacturing, the government is also playing an active role in reviving economic activity.
