FANUC India expands in Tamil Nadu with new Technology Centre in Coimbatore

FANUC India, a leader in factory automation, has announced the expansion of its operations in Tamil Nadu with the opening of a new Technology Centre in Neelambur, Coimbatore. The facility, inaugurated on July 10, 2024, by Yuki Kita, President and CEO, FANUC India, marks a significant milestone in the company's ongoing commitment to Indian manufacturing.

"For over 30 years, FANUC has been a trusted partner in India, providing tailored factory automation solutions. This new Technology Centre in Coimbatore, following our Chennai facility, demonstrates our dedication to advancing Indian manufacturing and enhancing its global standing," said Kita.

Tamil Nadu, home to over 5,100 companies, with more than 2,000 in Coimbatore alone, is a strategic location for FANUC. The new 15,000 square foot centre aims to better serve the region's industrial needs. FANUC India, headquartered in Bengaluru, has supported the Indian manufacturing sector for over three decades and has previously focused its efforts on Tamil Nadu, including the recent opening of a Technology Center in Sriperumbudur, Chennai.

Since 2002, FANUC's Coimbatore operations have concentrated on service and sales. The new expansion further underscores their commitment to Tamil Nadu’s growing manufacturing sector. To celebrate, FANUC is hosting an Open House event at the new facility, showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as CNC controllers, Laser CNC, robots, vertical machining centres, electric injection molding machines, and CNC wire EDM.

The new centre will offer comprehensive factory automation system integration and lifetime support, reinforcing FANUC's ‘Service First’ motto. With 22 service locations across India, including Coimbatore, FANUC is poised to deliver exceptional support to customers across the subcontinent.
