EITS 2014 will bring together a total of about 300 participating companies from France, India and Germany throughout the business convention. Conferences and trade show will attract further participants. The event will be a great opportunity for companies to build relationships with their future partners in counterpart countries, through on-sites visits and more than 3,000 B2B meetings to be organized. EITS 2014 will focus on the fields of materials and process for industry (metals, chemicals and plastics, natural fibres), transportation and energy.

The main objective of the event is to foster economic ties between Indian and French entities, specifically with business actors of Moselle (public and private R&D organizations, manufacturing as well as service companies).

EITS 2014 also aims at promoting the potential of Moselle in the industrial R&D sector, for which the region is renowned, at reinforcing the significance of the European Materials and Energy Valley and at contributing to the internationalization of Lorraine's regional economy.

Moselle is part of the Lorraine Region in North-Eastern France. It is strategically located in the heart of the European valley for materials, engineering, mechanics and energy. The region is an ideal location for Indian companies wishing to enter or develop their business in Western Europe.

The region has already developed successful bidirectional synergies with India. The Tata Steel France Rail plant, with 400 employees, produces rails for the TGV high-speed train (TGV holds the world speed record at 574.8 Km/h) and has major international clients including the new Hyderabad metro. Cryolor (Groupe Air Liquide), headquartered in Metz, also has operations in Chennai to support the world's developing industrial gas markets. Safran is also operating in Moselle (through SLCA) as well as India. Moselle has also welcomed several Indian delegations in the past.
