Waaree Energies has secured a contract to supply 200 MW of solar modules for ENGIE India's solar project in Sayla village, Surendra Nagar district, Gujarat. According to a statement released by the company, ENGIE India, a subsidiary of the global low-carbon energy and services provider ENGIE Group, awarded the mandate for the solar module supply. The specific value of the order was not disclosed.

Under the 25-year solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL), ENGIE India is developing the Sayla village project (designated as GUVNL 2). Waaree Energies, recognised as India's leading solar module manufacturer, expressed their validation through this contract.

Hitesh Doshi, Chairman & Managing Director of Waaree Group, stated, "This mandate from ENGIE India is a validation of Waaree's status as India's predominant solar module manufacturer." The supply of 200 MW of AHNAY 545 Wp Bifacial modules for the Sayla village project is scheduled to begin in November this year and is anticipated to conclude by February 2024. Once operational, these modules will generate an estimated 34 crore units of electricity annually.
