Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal lauded EEPC India’s ambitious goal of achieving $300 billion in engineering exports by 2030, calling it a testament to the "courage and conviction of New India." Speaking at EEPC India’s 70th-anniversary celebration in New Delhi, Goyal emphasised the critical role of the engineering sector in India’s vision of Viksit Bharat. He highlighted the government’s continuous efforts to simplify regulations, promote ease of business, and encourage sustainable, high-quality manufacturing.

Goyal urged the industry to contribute to sustainable growth, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s "Zero Defect, Zero Effect" philosophy, focused on quality and environmental responsibility. He applauded EEPC India’s goal as a reflection of India's bold vision and determination. The Minister also acknowledged EEPC’s contributions across various sectors, including mobility, capital goods, and steel, noting that the council has been pivotal in building national engineering capabilities.

Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada, who also attended the event, underscored EEPC India’s impact on advancing India’s global standing in engineering exports. Arun Kumar Garodia, Chairman, EEPC India,  addressed the gathering, reaffirming the council’s commitment to expanding India's engineering sector internationally. Garodia discussed the organisation’s efforts to foster favorable policies, drive innovation, and support members in global market navigation. He highlighted initiatives like Bharat Mobility, the International Engineering Sourcing Show (IESS), and Indian Engineering Exhibitions (INDEE) as instrumental in strengthening India's export potential, contributing to the sector’s $109 billion export milestone in FY24.

Reflecting on EEPC India’s growth from 40 members in 1955 to over 9,500 in 2024, Garodia emphasised the council’s role in advancing India’s manufacturing and export sectors, including automotive, electronics, and medical devices. He affirmed EEPC India’s dedication to enhancing India's global engineering presence and fostering sustainable, high-quality growth.
