Easyperm, the first 3D characterisation system, has won the JEC Innovation Award in the "Laboratory Equipment" category. Today Easyperm is the only system on the market that offers an industrial solution for measuring the permeability of a dry reinforcement in thickness (Z) and plane (X, Y). Easyperm is also an extremely reliable quality control system, because it relies on automated measurements without variables from human input. Easyperm is being introduced at JEC Europe Show & Conferences from March 10 to 12, 2015, with live demonstrations on view in Hall 7.2 stand H73 (PPE).

Easyperm allows evaluation of the capacity of reinforcement to be impregnated by a liquid resin. This is a necessary preliminary step in performing filling simulations for large and complex parts. "As the RTM process is progressing and gaining in industrial maturity, it is crucial to develop reliable tools for the characterization of permeability of the fibrous reinforcements. Easyperm is the answer to this challenge!" says Prof. Christophe Binetruy, PhD of the Research Institute in Civil Engineering and Mechanics of the Ecole Centrale Nantes. Developed by PPE, international technology transfer centre specialized in composite materials, in partnership with MVC Solutions in Plastics (Brazil) and NOVALL (France), the permeability measurement bench also serves to optimise processes in the case of high-production rate.

Easyperm is the first system in the Easy range of products.
