DISA, a leading foundry machinery manufacturer across the world - and present in India for over 25 years - offering advanced process technology, organised a unique one-day symposium on "New Trends in Moulding Technology" in Kolkata.

"This symposium was aimed at educating all those present during the session in terms of knowledge-sharing and valuable insights that make up the foundry industry. We are indeed pleased with the turnout at the event and are hopeful of organising many more in the future. The event was held on the December 15, 2011, and comprised of three technical sessions covering the following topics:

• Moulding machines and latest trends
• Sand plant
• Surface preparation/shot blasting
• Dust extraction system, and
• After-market business, spares and services.

This symposium witnessed the presence of about 50 delegates from 30 foundries in and around Kolkata and Jamshedpur. All the delegates who attended the symposium expressed immense appreciation for DISA's efforts in improving industry knowledge. The company is looking forward to organise more such symposiums. DISA has also shown a glimpse of its new moulding machine, which will soon be launched at IFEX 2012.
