Detroit Engineered Products (DEP), developer of the CAE platform MeshWorks, and AVL, a global leader in mobility technologies, have announced a strategic partnership to deliver a toolchain integrating AVL EXCITE and MeshWorks to optimise the propulsion design cycle. AVL will serve as an authorised distributor of MeshWorks to mobility companies across the United States and Europe.

The integrated toolchain enables CAE engineers to create finite element models from CAD data, parameterise them, and perform shape and topology optimisation for use within AVL EXCITE™ for dynamic and acoustic simulations. This accelerates design cycles through rapid CAE iterations without requiring CAD to remain in the loop. The combined technologies can be applied across light- and heavy-duty vehicles, as well as marine and aerospace applications.
