Cybersecurity is new Business Unit at TUV SUD Management Service Division

Munich, June 7, 2016 – By developing new services and solutions, the international provider of technical services is helping businesses to make the most of the opportunities offered by digital transformation and minimise the risks of increasing connectivity. Within the scope of this strategy, Cybersecurity is going to play a much greater role at the TÜV SÜD Management Service Division in the future, and will therefore now be organised in a separate Business Unit in keeping with its new status.

ICT security services and customised services tailored to individual needs based on training, certification and managed services form an integral, and increasingly important, part of TÜV SÜD's business portfolio. To meet current and future demand for ICT security services, the TÜV SÜD Management Service Division has now established a new Cybersecurity Business Unit. The new organisation reflects the fact that for governments and modern enterprises, ICT security is as important as quality management and risk management systems.

Business Unit Manager is Mirko Panev, who took over this role effective 1 June 2016. With more than 20 years experience in information and communication technology security business, information security management systems and strategic management, he will be responsible for further strategic development of global Cybersecurity business at Management Service. Mirko Panev will report directly to Prof. Peter Schaff, CEO of the TÜV SÜD Management Service Division.
