Crane Institute releases new Overhead Cranes Handbook

Sanford, FL (USA), March 23, 2017 – Crane Institute of America has announced the release of a brand new handbook, Overhead Cranes. Colour graphics clearly illustrate information about bridge cranes, gantry cranes, monorail systems, and underhung hoists. The handbook focuses on training requirements, pre-shift inspection, operation, hoisting personnel, and more.

“This handbook is a must-have for anyone working with overhead cranes,” says author and CIA President Jim Headley. “It is an excellent resource as a safety reference or to use as a training aid.” Crane Institute of America has more than half a million books in print. Handbooks and other materials are available in the online store at craneinstitute.com.

Crane Institute of America, LLC has trained, qualified and/or certified over 100,000 equipment operators, inspectors, supervisors, trainers and riggers since 1987. Their training, certification, products and services meet and often exceed government and industry requirements. They strive to make the lifting industry one of the safest, most liability-free work environments in existence.
