Hisense, a leading consumer electronics and TV manufacturer, announced its plan to set up a local manufacturing plant in India with a capacity to produce two million TVs within the next two years.

Chinese multinational white goods and electronics manufacturer Hisense Group has announced its plan to set up a local manufacturing plant in India with a capacity to produce two million TVs within the next two years. The company also intends to expand its product portfolio with new launches this year. 

Rishi Tandon, COO, Hisense India said that the company has got a phenomenal response from the consumers after it entered the Indian market. Hisense was now ramping up its local manufacturing capabilities to meet the growing demand for its television range. 

The company will launch a 70-inch Mega TV, 65-inch and 50-inch Tornado TV with 102W JBL six-speaker systems in India this month. It will also introduce a collection of products such as QLED TV, laser TVs, washing machines, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave oven and kitchen appliances in the coming festive season.

Hisense has partnered with EURO 2020 as the official sponsor this year. It will also be the official sponsor of the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022.

Hisense is one of the world's leading TV manufacturers and a top TV brand in Australia, the US, Japan, Mexico and South Africa. The company is present in over 160 countries with 14 manufacturing facilities.
