Camfil India unveils expanded manufacturing facility with new Manesar plant

Camfil India has launched its new, expanded manufacturing facility in Manesar. This new plant marks a significant milestone in Camfil India's mission to meet rising market demands and facilitate the adoption of global standards, specifically IS 17570:2021 and ISO 16890:2016 for Air Filters.

The facility, supporting India's 'Make in India' initiative, will serve as a key local production hub for Camfil, enhancing the efficiency of its global supply chain and boosting its contributions to international markets. The Manesar plant will significantly increase production capacity, particularly for high-efficiency filters used in Air Handling Units (AHUs). It will also produce mini-pleated HEPA filters, known as Megalams, which are essential for sectors requiring stringent air quality standards, such as pharmaceuticals, hospitals, and microelectronics. These filters will be manufactured using proprietary equipment and scanning technologies developed by Camfil’s global R&D centres, ensuring top-notch performance and energy efficiency.

In line with its commitment to quality and regulatory compliance, the Manesar facility will align with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) under IS 17570:2021/ ISO 16890:2016. This move aligns with India's adoption of ISO 16890, making it the first Asian country to do so, showcasing the nation's progressive approach to air quality management. Camfil has actively championed these standards, ensuring all HVAC filters produced meet stringent performance benchmarks.

The facility also prioritises sustainability, producing next-generation Hi-Flo filters designed to optimise energy savings and environmental impact. This move reinforces Camfil’s dedication to offering eco-friendly air filtration solutions.

Mark Simmons, CEO, Camfil Group, noted, "The Manesar facility supports Camfil's long-term strategy to expand local production, enhance product offerings, and adopt advanced technologies. By providing high-quality, energy-efficient, and sustainable solutions, Camfil India aims to advance air quality standards."

Rahul Kapoor, Managing Director, Camfil India, added, "We are proud to inaugurate this facility in Manesar, which signifies a crucial step in our growth strategy and aligns with the 'Make in India' vision. Strengthening our local production and adhering to global quality standards enables us to deliver innovative solutions tailored to our customers' evolving needs."

This strategic expansion is part of Camfil's broader goal to bolster local production capabilities and contribute to India's industrial development. Equipped with modern technology, the Manesar plant signifies a leap forward in producing high-quality, sustainable, and energy-efficient air filtration products.
