1. Could you please give us a brief outline of your organisation and its activities?
Tulip 3P Media Pvt. Ltd. is one of the leading media groups based in Delhi. Since 2006, we have been publishing industry-oriented periodicals for different B2B verticals aimed at presenting the latest news, analysis, opinions, market outlooks and trends to our readers. Providing accurate and relevant industry-related information and knowledge is our key strength and we keep bolstering our database by interacting with industry stakeholders on a regular basis to maintain that. We conduct market research and organise industrial events, such as exhibitions, conferences and seminars, to promote business networking among the companies. Over the years, we have broadened our understanding of the needs of industries such as wire and cable, pulp and paper, and maternity, baby and hygiene products, which enables us to further the interests of these industries.

2. Can you tell us about the previous edition of Cable & Wire Fair?
Cable & Wire Fair 2019 provided the industry players from various segments of the wire and cable industry a good opportunity to come together to put forth a stage to showcase important paraphernalia for and by the wire and cable industry. Approximately 200 exhibitors from around 20-plus countries exhibited at the trade show. The two days CEO Conclave & Technical Conference at CWF 2019 saw high-voltage discussions at its cable conclaves and technical session wherein a myriad of issues pertaining to the wire and cable industry were considered. In addition, the event included an Innovation Pavilion wherein premier companies including Polycab, KEI, RR Kabel, LS Cable, Ravin Group, Apar Industries, Paramount Communications, Svarn Infratel etc from the industry showcased their latest and upcoming products.

3. What can we expect in the Cable & Wire Fair 2022?
The industry is desperately waiting for a networking platform and CWF is all set to give the industry the much-needed impetus promising a larger show. There is considerable interest among the exhibitors as they are eager to regain their business targets and place their brands among the consumers following the coronavirus-affected commerce. The 4th edition of Cable & Wire Fair which is to be held on 18, 19 and 20 May 2022 is all geared up to provide the environment to make real business happen by providing the right platform. Like the previous edition, the 2022 fair will include innovation pavilion, technical conference and CEO conclave.

4. As you get ready for the exhibition after COVID pause, what protocol needs to be followed by the exhibitors and visitors?
Over 80 percent of India’s adult population is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19. India has resumed regular international flights with pre-COVID regulations. Further according to some reports, the Indian government may consider relaxing the mask mandate soon. However, as of now, those planning to exhibit in CWF or visit the event will have to take care to adhere to COVID-19 precautions and protocols which includes the use of face mask, hand hygiene and social distancing.

5. What are the growth drivers of the wire and cable industry in India?
The wire and cable market is expected to be driven by various factors such as the ‘Saubhagya’ scheme introduced for rural electrification, the growth in renewable energy due to climate change commitments at COP26 and the rollout of 5G and 6G technology.

Apart from expansion and revamping of transmission and distribution infrastructure under Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), the government is also planning to invest significantly in railways, roadways, highways and metro projects. It has announced its plans to operationalise 100 airports, under UDAN scheme and kick off bullet train projects in 2022-23. The Union Budget 2022-23 announced a 35.4 percent increase in CAPEX to INR 7.5 lakh crores for FY23 which will be a huge boost for the economy. Under ‘Make in India’ initiative, many mobile and electrical appliance companies are looking to make India a hub for manufacturing and innovation. The electric vehicle industry is picking pace which calls for new manufacturing facilities and improved charging infrastructure. Real estate players are gearing up for developing projects with the dipping home loan rates. All these interesting developments are expected to give the much-required boost to the wire and cable market where Industry 4.0 would play the role of catalyst.

6. Kindly elaborate on how the 4th edition of Cable & Wire Fair will contribute towards the growth of the industry?
India is a fast-growing economy, and the total market demand for goods and services is rising by leaps and bounds. Investments have to be made in technology acquisition and capacity expansion to meet the growing demand. In the prevailing economic scenario, events such as exhibitions, conferences and seminars can provide the industry with business networking platforms. Cable & Wire Fair aims to give exhibitors an excellent opportunity to showcase their offerings and a platform for establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with other business people and potential clients. This event has emerged as a wonderful networking platform for the wire and cable industry. It gives the exhibitors an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge about the latest technologies, materials and products in a high-profile environment. It should be noted that the most illustrious wire and cable machinery manufacturers, suppliers of materials for the wire and cable industry and even wire and cable manufacturers take pride in exhibiting their products and services at Cable & Wire Fair, which has undisputedly become India’s leading trade fair for the wire and cable industry.

7. Could you please give us some information about your exhibition journey? What is your vision for the near future?
We launched Cable & Wire Fair (CWF) in 2015. It was well-appreciated by the industry as an exhibition cum technical conference with CEO panel discussion was organised for Indian Wire & Cable Industry for the first time. The 2nd edition of CWF grew 2.5 times in terms of net area sold having 164 exhibitors from 19 countries. In 2019, the show further added value with innovation pavilion witnessing leading cable companies’ participation. It witnessed around 200 exhibitors from 21 countries, 11250 visitors from 25 countries and we are expecting a bigger show this time. Besides CWF, we have launched two more events – Mommy & Baby Fair and Hygiene & Disposables Products Expo. I want to take Tulip to the next level by launching a few more periodicals and events for other B2B verticals.
