"This Budget I am looking forward to see what happens with the India-EU FTA. There is a shift in the buying patterns of Indians and Europeans. India, which was considered to be a "small car" market, had recently shown to have a significant trend movement towards buying SUVs (larger cars), Similarly, in the EU, due to their economy and various other factors, the trend is shifting from larger cars to smaller ones. The India-EU FTA could cause massive changes within the 2 economies, giving shift to larger car sales in India and a shift to larger exports of smaller cars from India. This however, has a couple of loopholes as both the countries have their own mandates and POVs. I am waiting to see how our country handles this, and what finally is decided. I am also looking forward to GST being implemented, however I doubt it will happen this year either," says Aditya Arora, COO, Base Batteries.
