Battery Smart achieves 100,000 daily swaps on EV battery swapping network

With 1,100 stations now spread across 30+ cities in India, the company has emerged as the leading player in the battery swapping sector, surpassing 40 million cumulative swaps to date.
Battery Smart, India’s largest and fastest-growing battery swapping network for electric two- and three-wheelers, has achieved a new milestone by surpassing 100,000 daily swaps on its network of over 50,000 drivers. This accomplishment marks another step forward in Battery Smart’s mission to make electric mobility accessible and affordable for all while contributing to India’s net zero emissions goal by 2070.
Since its inception with the launch of the first swap station in Janakpuri, New Delhi, in June 2020, Battery Smart has rapidly expanded its network. With 1,100 stations now spread across 30+ cities in India, the company has emerged as the leading player in the battery swapping sector, surpassing 40 million cumulative swaps to date.

Battery Smart’s battery-as-a-service solution enables two-minute battery swaps, allowing EV drivers to save time, cover greater distances, and reduce their upfront costs by up to 40%. The company's asset-light approach leverages existing infrastructure from Indian SMBs to rapidly set up swap stations, thereby improving the livelihoods of local business owners and creating a robust support system for the growing EV market.
