Axis Solutions Ltd – the Ahmedabad-based provider of analytical instrumentation and process automation solutions - is strengthening its growth strategy through diversification into emerging sectors such as defence, railways, nuclear and marine applications, while continuing to expand its presence across process industries. With a strong focus on indigenous product development, advanced automation solutions and AI-enabled technologies, the company aims to build new opportunities across domestic and international markets.

Founded in 1999 by Dr Bijal Sanghvi, Managing Director, Axis Solutions Ltd, the company has evolved from a specialised provider of analyser system solutions into a diversified technology solutions partner for industries including oil & gas, petrochemicals, power, chemicals, mining, water and wastewater. Today, Axis Solutions offers end-to-end solutions covering system design, manufacturing, integration, supply and after-sales support across India, SAARC, Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Dr Bijal Sanghvi said, “We started our journey by providing analyser system solutions to industries where continuous monitoring of gases, water quality and process parameters is critical. These systems support safety, regulatory compliance and process optimisation, with a typical lifecycle of 10 to 20 years.”

The company’s analyser solutions are designed for applications such as continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS), gas analysis, water analysis, ambient air monitoring and hydrocarbon measurement. These solutions help industries meet increasingly stringent environmental regulations while improving operational efficiency.

According to Dr Sanghvi, growing environmental compliance requirements are creating significant opportunities for technology providers. “Pollution control norms are becoming more stringent, and industries are required to monitor emissions with greater accuracy. Regulatory authorities are also expanding compliance requirements to cover smaller industries, textile units, effluent treatment plants and chemical clusters. This is creating new opportunities for companies like us to provide advanced instrumentation and automation solutions.”

Energy efficiency and smart monitoring are also emerging as key focus areas for Axis Solutions. The company is integrating artificial intelligence into its solutions to enable predictive maintenance and improve system performance. One such example is its AI-enabled HVAC solutions for hazardous areas, which are used extensively in industries such as oil and gas.

“By implementing AI-based monitoring, we can identify issues such as motor vibrations or leakages at an early stage. For example, even a small air leakage can increase power consumption, and predictive analysis allows us to identify potential failures before they occur,” Dr Sanghvi explained.

The company is also strengthening its capabilities in water and wastewater management through advanced instrumentation solutions. Its product portfolio includes flow meters and analytical systems that help industries monitor parameters such as turbidity, chlorine, COD, BOD and other critical measurements. These solutions support efficient treatment processes and ensure compliance with environmental standards.

Axis Solutions has built a strong presence in the oil & gas sector, supported by industry approvals and partnerships. The company’s association with leading engineering organisations has enabled it to supply solutions to major oil and gas companies in India, while also expanding its reach into international markets.

“Oil and gas has been one of our strongest sectors. Our approvals and experience in this industry have helped us expand into global markets, including regions such as the Middle East, where we are positioned as a reliable system supplier,” said Dr Sanghvi.

Looking ahead, Axis Solutions is focusing on expanding into high-growth sectors beyond traditional process industries. The company has established new divisions catering to marine, offshore, defence, railway and nuclear applications. Supported by an in-house R&D team of around 20 professionals, Axis Solutions is developing customised products based on industry requirements and reducing dependence on imported technologies.

“Our R&D strength is helping us create import substitutes and develop solutions that meet specific industry needs. Defence, railways and nuclear sectors are becoming important growth drivers for us, and we see strong potential in these verticals,” Dr Sanghvi added.

With a focus on innovation, localisation and technology-driven solutions, Axis Solutions aims to further strengthen its position as a diversified industrial technology provider while contributing to India’s growing demand for advanced automation and monitoring systems.
