ARTPARK isn't your typical neighbourhood park; it's a pioneering ecosystem driving inclusivity and equitable access to AI and robotics solutions. Established in 2020 at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) campus in Bengaluru, ARTPARK stands as India's premier AI and robotics technology hub.

"ARTPARK aims to pioneer critical technologies for robotics and autonomous systems, curbing India's dependency on imports and leveraging AI for addressing national challenges," stated Raghuram Dharmaraju, CEO, ARTPARK. As a non-profit organisation, ARTPARK serves as a convergence point for startups, industry leaders, researchers, governmental bodies, and non-profits, nurturing innovation and fostering skill development for future professionals in advanced manufacturing by 2025.

With initial funding of Rs 230 crore from the Centre's Department of Science and Technology and the Karnataka government, ARTPARK is driving innovation across sectors like industrial automation, mobility, agriculture, and healthcare.

Functional Benefits: ARTPARK revolves around three primary programs: Innovations/Startups, Platforms, and Skilling. The ARTgarage, a cutting-edge manufacturing and testing facility spanning 75,000 square feet in HMT Colony, serves as a pivotal physical platform for developing autonomous intelligent systems. Another digital platform, One Health & Climate, boasts successes like the dengue dashboard, impacting over 80 million lives. Moreover, the Health Data & AI platform supports initiatives like MIDAS, striving to enhance AI-based healthcare tools.

Breaking Language Barriers: ARTPARK, in collaboration with IISc and partners, is bridging language gaps through initiatives like SYSPIN, RESPIN, and Vaani. SYSPIN focuses on creating text-to-speech synthesizers in nine languages, while RESPIN targets speech recognition in agriculture and finance. Project Vaani aims to curate vast datasets representing India's linguistic diversity, fostering inclusivity in digital spaces.

ARTPARK's startup programs facilitate the transition from lab concepts to market-ready solutions. The ARTPARK Innovation Challenge 2024, offering up to Rs 2 crore annually per team, supports startups addressing significant industry or societal challenges in AI, robotics, and autonomous systems.
