Antunes unveils state-of-the-art cooking equipment factory near Chennai

Antunes, the prominent global cooking equipment manufacturer, is set to unveil its inaugural factory in India near Chennai this Thursday. Situated in the Tiruvallur district, the 43,000-square-foot facility is a collaborative effort between Antunes, headquartered in the US, and the Nadi Group based in Chennai. The new facility will specialize in the production of various products, including toaster models, water filtration systems, and grills.

This marks Antunes' third manufacturing unit, complementing its existing facilities in the United States and China. The company boasts a distinguished clientele, serving major quick-service restaurants (QSRs) such as McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and Popeyes.

Daniel Schmidt, Managing Director of International Business at Antunes, expressed that the newly inaugurated facility will focus on manufacturing products tailored for the Indian, African, and Middle Eastern markets. Schmidt added that they are considering the production of innovative items like sandwich grills and holding equipment for cooked food. The establishment of the Chennai facility involved an investment of approximately Rs 4.5 crore.
