Employers Federation of Southern India (EFSI), a representative body for the Employers in the country has elected Anand Sundaresan, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director, SCHWING Stetter India as President of the EFSI at its 94th AGM. As a part of his new role, Mr. Sundaresan will be responsible for implementing progressive initiatives towards further improving employer - employee relationship. He takes over from.Ramesh Datla, Managing Director of ELICO Limited. .A.S.Girish, Head HR, Apollo Tyres Ltd. was elected as Vice President of EFSI for the year 2014-15.

On being appointed as President of EFSI, Mr Sundaresan said, "The new government in the centre focusing on policy reforms will create huge employment opportunities, similarly in Southern India and Tamilnadu in particular, where the government is under-taking various development and infrastructure improvement initiatives, with emphasis on employee welfare. EFSI will play a very important role in improving employer - employee relationship in Southern India."

Mr Sundaresan comes with over three decades of experience in various Indian and multi-national companies. He joined SCHWING Stetter India, in 1999 as Executive Director and became Managing Director in January 2002 and Vice Chairman & Managing director in 2013. As a transformational leader, he steered the business of SCHWING Stetter India forward by introducing best-of-breed products for the Indian construction industry. In addition, Mr. Sundaresan is also the Vice President of Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers Association (ICEMA).
