ALOK Masterbatches Pvt Ltd, India’s leading masterbatch producer, has been conferred the coveted ‘Golden Peacock Innovative Product/Service Award’ for its range of antimicrobial solutions, BactiSafe, developed in partnership with Microban International. The felicitation ceremony was held virtually in conjunction with a webinar on ‘Leadership for Business Excellence amid Pandemic & Self-Reliant India’ on July 15. Rajesh Verma, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, delivered a keynote address at the forum. 

Aligned with the government’s Make in India vision, ALOK’s range of antimicrobial solution is effective against harmful bacteria, permanent in nature, increases product longevity, is non-toxic and food contact approved as opposed to other conventional products. BactiSafe secures plastics from microbes as BactiSafe uses silver ions which penetrates microbes, rendering them unable to function, grow or reproduce.

Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Bhadauria, Managing Director, ALOK Masterbatches, said, “According to the World Health Organisation, infectious diseases kill over 13 million people every year - one in two deaths in developing countries. The need of the hour are safe, effective, and affordable public health and sanitation solutions that can be rapidly proliferated in the population. I like to think of ALOK’s BactiSafe as a permanent sanitiser for all frequently touched surfaces.”

This happens to be ALOK’s second Golden Peacock Award in consecutive years. In 2019, ALOK was recognized under the ‘Eco Innovation’ category for UVNox Mulch – an indigenously developed additive solution that has proven to contribute to India’s agriculture economy/ increasing efficiency of agricultural practices by farmers
