Its growth is fuelled by the increasing need for reliable power in the face of frequent outages, alongside the nation’s surge in digitisation and remote work. Additionally, being a power-deficit nation, India has a large market for power backup products. Emerging trends in the UPS space include the introduction of features that extend battery life, enhance energy efficiency, and integrate smart connectivity options. To conserve energy and reduce carbon footprints, more manufacturers are developing eco-friendly UPS solutions or incorporating eco-modes. Green UPS technology now offers significantly higher efficiency, ranging from 94 to 97%, compared to the traditional 80 to 88%, marking a substantial improvement in energy conservation and sustainability.
