Since the incorporation of Suhner India in 1998, it has been operating from 235U2, Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore; a 800 square meter built up area in 3 different buildings. As the business started growing, the existing facility had reached a saturation point for capacity addition. Keeping in mind the growth prospects of the future, Suhner India has moved to a 2000 square meter building located at 50C2 and 50D, Bommasandra Industrial Area, Bangalore 560099.

 

The new facility has 1600 square meters of manufacturing space and 600 square meters of office, display areas and training areas. For the machining division, there is a fully equipped demo room that serves the purpose of demonstrating the capabilities of Suhner through working models of machines using Suhner spindles as well as a training area where the sales engineers and customers can be provided with hands on training. For the abrasive division, there is a full-fledged training room, where the sales engineers hone their grinding and polishing skills as well as customers bring in their samples to get a solution. The facility also has a complete service and testing center that is capable of all the Suhner products that are sold in India

 

Juerg Suhner, Global CEO of Suhner, formally inaugurated the facility on the 4th of October 2017. Otto Suhner, Chairman Suhner Holdings carried out the symbolic switching on of the winding machine. Speaking on the occasion, Andreas Baum, Ambassador of Switzerland to India highlighted the commitment of Swiss industry in India and also on the 70-year partnership between the two countries in various fields.
