A global market leader in dynamic pressure, force, torque and acceleration measurement technology, Kistler Instrumente GmbH facility located in Sindelfingen, has become the first facility in the Kistler Group to gain ISO 14001 certification. Kistler has put its commitment towards ecological responsibility and sustainability, into practice by continuously improving and regularly assessing its environmental management system - for the benefit of the environment, the company's employees, and its customers.

In summer 2019, the company underwent an audit as per DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 - with successful results. This standard defines the requirements for an effective environmental management system in a company.

The focus is on strategies for environmental policies and targets as well as continuous improvement processes. Their objective is to reduce harmful substances and environmental pollution on a long-term basis. Accident and liability risks are minimized, with savings on waste, water and energy costs.

The company has a long tradition of high quality standards By obtaining certification to ISO 14001, the global market leader in dynamic measurement technology shows that it is fulfilling its fundamental quality promise in yet another area.

Kistler is integrating ecological responsibility as an official element of its corporate culture by permanently implementing the environmental management system in the company's processes – starting with the Sindelfingen facility.

The company's employees also give their backing to this guiding principle: for example, many colleagues took part in the Kistler Clean-Up-Day at Sindelfingen. Equipped with gloves and trash bags, they collected waste around the company's site. Members of the workforce have also shown their commitment for other green initiatives such as the pan-Swiss ‘bike to work’ campaign.
