Thermax appoints Ashish Bhandari as new MD & CEO

Pune; February 4, 2020:

Thermax, a leading energy and environment solutions provider, has announced appointment of Ashish Bhandari as the Joint MD of the Thermax Group, effective April 20, 2020. The new appointment come in liu of M S Unnikrishnan, current MD and CEO, Thermax, retirement due on  June 30, 2020 following which Bhandari will move into the role of MD and CEO.

Bhandari will be joining Thermax from Baker Hughes (formerly a GE Company), where he is currently the Vice President – India & South Asia region.Ashish is an engineering graduate from the IIT, Mumbai, and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Duke University.

Meher Pudumjee, Chairperson of the Board said, “We are delighted to have Ashish join us as Joint MD of Thermax. He has nearly three decades of global experience with a strong track record of growing diverse businesses. The Board believes that he is the right person to succeed Unny who has successfully led Thermax over the last 13 years during its transformative and difficult time in the industry.”
