IEEMA targets $25 billion electronics exports in 5 years

Electrical and electronics manufacturers aim to more than double the sector's exports to $25 billion within the next five years, according to Sunil Singhvi, President, Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA). Speaking at Elecrama 2025 in Greater Noida, Singhvi highlighted IEEMA’s vision of positioning India as a global hub for electronics and electrical manufacturing.

With global supply chains shifting, India is emerging as a trusted energy solutions partner. Singhvi stressed the importance of participating in international standard bodies and advocating policies that support standard exports, financing, new business models, and enhanced competitiveness.

IEEMA is collaborating with stakeholders to strengthen quality standards and testing infrastructure, crucial for handling increasing quality control orders. Singhvi also urged industry members to invest in innovation, skill development, and new-age technologies to ensure Indian products meet international benchmarks.

Founded in 1948, IEEMA represents over 1,000 manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics, and allied equipment. Elecrama is its flagship annual industry event.
