Goa’s first electronics manufacturing cluster nears completion

Spanning over 597,000 square metres near the Goa-Mumbai National Highway, the EMC will offer various incentives to incoming companies through support from both the state government and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
Goa’s first-ever Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC), located in Tuem village of North Goa, is nearing completion and is expected to attract significant investment, according to state officials. Developed by the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communications (DITEC), the project aligns with India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision and aims to position the country as a global electronics manufacturing hub.
Spanning over 597,000 square metres near the Goa-Mumbai National Highway, the EMC will offer various incentives to incoming companies through support from both the state government and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). A single-window clearance system has been established to ease the setup process, and a dedicated committee will facilitate end-to-end support for manufacturers.
The cluster is expected to generate employment and drive digital and economic transformation in Goa. Training programs in local colleges and skill centres are underway to prepare a skilled workforce. Completion of the facility is targeted for October 2025.
Notably, local startup Powerland Agro Tractor Vehicles, which manufactures electric all-terrain vehicles for global markets, has invested in the cluster.
Narayan Naik, Co-founder noted the project would stem the outflow of Goan talent by providing job opportunities within the state.
With proximity to Mopa Airport and major highways, the cluster is also being positioned to attract drone technology firms, additive manufacturing players, and EV infrastructure companies.
