Walvoil India opens new facility in Bangalore

Walvoil Fluid Power India Pvt Ltd (Walvoil India) - a member of the Italy-based Interpump Group - inaugurated a new plant in Bangalore on March 23, 2023. Built in a record time and keeping with the Group's emphasis on world-class ESG practices, the new plant in Attibele, Bangalore, has been developed to ensure that Walvoil India can be at the forefront and can launch more innovative products and services to meet the varying and exacting demands of its customers. Fabio Marasi, President and CEO, Walvoil, together with a few colleagues from Italy attended the inauguration ceremony.

Walvoil offers an integrated system of hydraulic and electronic products for mobile machinery and works closely with customers to develop best-in-class techno-commercial solutions.

Walvoil Fluid Power India Pvt Ltd was established as a wholly-owned Subsidiary in 2005 in Bangalore. In April 2018, the Indian operations of Hydrocontrol Hydraulic Technologies Ltd (another global brand in hydraulic mobile control valves) merged into Walvoil India and the combined company relocated to a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Attibele, Bangalore. Walvoil India has now grown into the Walvoil Group’s second-largest manufacturing plant.

Recently, Walvoil's parent company, Interpump Group, acquired 85 per cent stake in Indoshell Automotive System India Pvt Ltd, which belongs to Indoshell Mould Ltd - an Indian group specialised in ferrous and non-ferrous (cast iron and aluminium) moulding and casting activities. It is estimated that the company, in 2023, would achieve a production of approximately 8,000 tonnes, resulting in an estimated turnover of Euro 12 million and approximately Euro 2 million of EBITDA. Speaking about Indoshell Automotive acquisition, Montipò, Chairman of Interpump Group, “Risk management is a fundamental Group management principle. Through this acquisition, the Group enhances its autonomy and sourcing capacity for casting, fundamental in the “valve” sector and important for many other operating sectors of the Group.”
