commercial vehicles, off-road vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers,
organised a commemorative ceremony for its new manufacturing facility in Pune,
Maharashtra.
The new
plant, which commenced operations in December 2025, is strategically located
near the Mumbai–Pune–Nashik–Aurangabad automotive cluster. This proximity
enables the company to offer enhanced flexibility, improved inventory
management and a more personalised approach to meeting customer requirements.
Key customers include JSW MG Motor India Private Limited (formerly known as MG
Motor India), Stellantis Automobiles India Private Limited, VE Commercial
Vehicles Limited, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Private Limited, Isuzu
Motors India Private Limited, Tata Motors Limited, and Piaggio Vehicles Private
Limited.
Alongside
the manufacturing unit, Neolite ZKW has established an independent design
centre equipped with advanced design tools and simulation software, 3D
modelling, optical design, prototyping and validation capabilities. The design
centre strengthens in-house product development, reduces time-to-market, and
ensures compliance with global performance and regulatory standards.
Speaking on
the occasion, Won Yong Hwang, CEO, ZKW Group GmbH, said, “India continues to
emerge as a strategic market for the global automotive industry. Neolite ZKW’s
expansion in Pune represents a positive step toward advancing next-generation
automotive lighting solutions, and we look forward to continued collaboration
in technology and innovation.”
Rajesh
Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, Neolite ZKW Lightings Limited, said, “Our
new Pune plant reflects our commitment to investing in capacity, technology and
talent to support the next phase of growth for our customers and for Neolite
ZKW. With this facility, we are better positioned to respond to customer
requirements in a timely manner, drive innovation in automotive lighting, and
create employment opportunities in the region. Our next focus is to
operationalise the Kancheepuram facility, and we are working hard to achieve
this.”
Rajesh Soni,
CEO, Neolite ZKW, added, “The Pune facility is designed to manufacture
automotive lighting products and components, including moulding, surface
treatment and assembly. In line with the shift towards electrification and
sustainability, we also offer select electric vehicle-focused lighting
products. At the same time, our portfolio remains powertrain-agnostic, serving
both electric vehicles and internal combustion engine vehicles.”
