Texmaco Rail & Engineering Limited (Texmaco), a leading name in integrated railway engineering, has won a significant order worth Rs 362.7 million (excluding taxes) from Transport Corporation of India (TCI) for its newly designed, next-generation Automobile Carrier Wagons. The deal also includes an option for an additional eight rakes, subject to performance and demand after delivery of the first two.

Texmaco’s Auto Car Taller Wagon (ACT-3) marks a major step forward in rail innovation, tailored to evolving customer requirements and sector trends. These wagons are built to handle a variety of vehicles—from SUVs and small trucks to tractors—ensuring high flexibility and efficiency in automotive logistics.

The order includes the production and supply of two rakes, comprising 54 ACT-3 Type Wagons and 2 Brake Vans (BVCM), scheduled for delivery over the next two years. These wagons have been designed with the specific operational needs of auto manufacturers and logistics providers in mind, enhancing safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in vehicle movement across the country.

With this latest win, Texmaco’s consolidated order book has reached around Rs 70 billion, highlighting the company’s strong foothold and growing momentum in rail innovation aligned with India’s infrastructure ambitions.
