Flender India to expand investments in domestic market

Approximately 10% of Flender Group’s 9,000 global employees are based in India.
Indian market to support accelerated growth, a company official announced. Over the past four years, Flender’s investment in India has nearly quadrupled, highlighting the strategic importance of the market, the company reported.
Operating three production facilities across Kharagpur (Kolkata), Chennai, and Walajabad in Tamil Nadu, Flender India meets both local and international demand for wind turbine drive gearboxes. In celebration of the Flender Group’s 125th anniversary, Andreas Evertz, CEO and Vinod Shetty, CEO, Flender India visited the Tamil Nadu facilities, where they engaged with employees, as per a company statement.
Approximately 10% of Flender Group’s 9,000 global employees are based in India. Established in 1899 in Bocholt, Germany, Flender opened its first Indian manufacturing facility in 1961. Over the past three years, Flender India’s business has more than doubled, with over half of its locally produced products exported worldwide.
Evertz, addressing the team in Chennai, emphasised the unity within the company, “We have always been and will always be a large Flender family. I am incredibly proud to be part of this team and to advance the energy transition with you.” Shetty also celebrated the milestone, acknowledging employees as the key to Flender India’s growth and success.
