Covasant Earns ISO/IEC 42001 Certification for Responsible Enterprise AI

Covasant Technologies, a leading Agentic AI-powered, Services-as-Software platform provider, has achieved ISO/IEC 42001:2023 accredited certification. As the first international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), this certification underscores Covasant’s commitment to responsible AI governance. It addresses a key enterprise challenge—transitioning AI initiatives from pilot phase to mission-critical production environments with lower risk.

This certification places Covasant among a select group of global technology leaders, including IBM, Microsoft, AWS, Snowflake and others, demonstrating independently verified responsible AI practices. The Covasant Agent Management Suite now provides audited code and governance-led frameworks to support complex, industry-specific AI agents across diverse sectors. Combined with ISO/IEC 27001 (Security) and ISO/IEC 27701 (Privacy) credentials, Covasant offers a governance-led ecosystem that assures clients in regulated industries such as Banking, Healthcare and Manufacturing that their AI adoption is secure, compliant and ready for scale.

Commenting on the milestone, C.V. Subramanyam, Chairman and Managing Director, Covasant Technologies, said, “Joining the ranks of global leaders with this certification reflects our focus. As enterprises move from experimentation to large-scale AI adoption, a governance-led approach is essential. We are building AI systems that are risk-aware, ethical and aligned with global best practices.”

Enterprise AI adoption has reached an inflection point. While 90 per cent of organisations use AI in some capacity, many struggle to scale solutions beyond initial trials. Gartner forecasts that up to 40 per cent of enterprises risk experiencing shadow AI breaches by 2030. Ensuring autonomous agents operate within regulatory and safety boundaries in live environments remains a critical challenge.

ISO/IEC 42001 certification addresses this by evaluating how AI risks are managed throughout the lifecycle. Covasant provides the operational discipline required to bridge the pilot-to-production gap, enabling enterprises to deploy autonomous agents confidently in mission-critical workflows.

Covasant’s Enterprise AI platform operationalises global governance principles through the Covasant Agent Management Suite. Built to meet ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standards, the platform ensures generated code and agent behaviours are compliant and auditable. This resolves quality and trust challenges that often delay production deployment.

Srikanth Chakkilam, CEO and Executive Director, Covasant Technologies, said, “Agentic AI is transforming operations, but scaling from pilot to production requires a governed environment. This certification validates that Covasant Agent Management Suite provides a disciplined framework where AI agents can operate at enterprise grade. We are enabling clients to deliver measurable, long-term value through secure and reliable AI systems.”

As AI regulations advance globally, Covasant is positioned to support production-level Agentic AI deployment. This milestone follows recognition including the Covasant Agent Management Suite being named ‘Best AI Platform for Agent Governance’ at the Telangana Leadership Awards 2025, and Covasant receiving ‘Best Cybersecurity Company of the Year 2025’ for its CyberProTX product.
