CIMCON Automation, a leader in advancing India’s ‘Atmanirbhar’ mission in utility automation across water, lighting, and oil & gas infrastructure, has announced its expansion in Eastern India with the opening of a new office in Kolkata. The move aims to strengthen the company’s domestic presence, enhance local project execution, and improve tender responsiveness across Eastern and Northeastern India, while continuing its focus on smart utilities, infrastructure, defence, and industrial automation. 

Located in Salt Lake City, the new office will serve as a regional hub for CIMCON’s operations across Eastern and Northeastern India. The facility is expected to support faster project execution and reduced deployment cycles by streamlining regional coordination and improving the efficiency of pan-India tendering processes.

The Kolkata office will also support phased workforce expansion aligned with the company’s project growth in the region. This expansion is expected to enable closer engagement with state authorities and private sector stakeholders, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to supporting utilities transformation. 

CIMCON Automation already maintains a significant presence in West Bengal and across Eastern India, working with government organisations, municipal corporations, and private sector entities to support smart infrastructure in lighting, water, and energy management. In addition to West Bengal, the company has undertaken projects in Bihar, Odisha and Jharkhand, as well as in Northeastern states including Assam and Meghalaya. Its projects have involved organisations such as the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), the Water Resources Department (WRD) and the Military Engineer Services of the Indian Air Force.
