Jeh aerospace unveils aerospace manufacturing hub in Hyderabad

The newly-established aerospace startup, Jeh Aerospace, inaugurated its cutting-edge aerospace and defence manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. Spanning an impressive 160,000 square feet, this facility is geared towards providing advanced manufacturing solutions to the aerospace and defence sector, as highlighted in the company's official statement.

Jeh Aerospace ventured into the establishment of this manufacturing hub following the successful securing of $2.75 million in seed funding from General Catalyst. Notable contributors to this funding round include key figures in the aerospace industry, such as former CEO and MD of Airbus India, Dwarakanath Srinivasan, and Pratyush Kumar, the former President of Boeing India. General Catalyst, a prominent venture capital company based in San Francisco, played a pivotal role in supporting Jeh Aerospace's vision.

Co-founded by Vishal R Sanghavi, the former Chief Operating Officer of Tata Boeing Aerospace, and Venkatesh Mudragalla, an ex-senior executive at Tata Sikorsky Aerospace Ltd., Jeh Aerospace distinguishes itself by offering ready-made manufacturing solutions to the aerospace and defence (A&D) industry. Leveraging scalable manufacturing facilities and a carefully vetted network of suppliers, the startup aims to meet the evolving needs of the global aerospace market.

Vishal R Sanghavi, who brings extensive experience from his roles at Tata Boeing, Sikorsky, and Lockheed Martin, emphasised that the Hyderabad-based facility is not merely a physical space. Instead, it signifies a transformative step in the global aerospace and defence supply chain. The manufacturing facility is poised to revolutionise the supply chain experience for global aerospace customers by incorporating vetted supplier networks that consistently meet or surpass global quality standards.

Sanghavi envisions the defence manufacturing facility as a catalyst for enhancing industry capabilities and fortifying its resilience to change. By establishing a robust supply chain, Jeh Aerospace seeks to contribute significantly to the transformation of the aerospace and defence sector.
