Sterlite Electric secures orders worth Rs 75 billion in FY25

New Delhi

Sterlite Electric Ltd (formerly Sterlite Power Transmission Limited), a leading player in the global power products and transmission solutions sector, has reported record order wins of Rs 24 billion in Q4 FY25, contributing to a cumulative total of Rs 75 billion in orders secured during the financial year. This performance underlines the company’s strong growth outlook and its role in developing sustainable power infrastructure across India and key international markets.

The secured orders span high-performance conductors, power cables, Optical Ground Wire (OPGW), and specialised EPC services. These wins are pivotal in supporting India’s green energy transmission ambitions and also reflect a growing global appetite for reliable, future-ready power solutions, especially in the Americas, European Union, Africa, and the Middle East.

Reshu Madan, CEO of Sterlite Electric Ltd, stated, “Our robust Q4 results highlight the increasing global demand for efficient and sustainable transmission infrastructure. We are proud to be at the forefront of integrating renewable energy into power grids. The continued momentum across domestic and international markets reinforces our role as a trusted partner in driving the global energy transition. Our commitment remains firm towards delivering quality and innovation at scale.”

Key Highlights of Q4 FY25 Orders:
  • High-performance conductors & OPGW: Significant orders were secured under the TBCB model and through EPC channels to enable efficient renewable power evacuation. OPGW saw strong repeat demand from PGCIL and state utilities for 96F and 144F cables. Export traction remained high, with Europe and the Middle East emerging as new growth centres for OPGW solutions.
  • Power cables: Orders spanned MV, HV, and EHV segments from state utilities, metro systems, private Discoms, and generation companies. Notable wins included a 132 kV smart cable export project in South-East Asia and India’s largest 220 kV smart cable order from a leading private distribution firm.
  • Specialised EPC services: The EPC segment continued to gain ground with key project wins for uprating and reconductoring using advanced ACCC technology, which improves grid stability and capacity.

Sterlite Electric’s ability to deliver end-to-end, high-performance solutions at scale underscores its vital contribution to India’s clean energy goals and its growing leadership in international transmission markets.

Sterlite Electric Ltd is a global leader in power conductors, cables, and OPGW solutions, serving over 70 countries. With four cutting-edge manufacturing facilities, the company boasts an annual output capacity exceeding 150,000 MT for conductors and over 3,000 km of power cables. It is widely recognised for its engineering excellence, advanced EPC services, and role in modernising the global power grid.
