In the transport position, the crane is folded within 1.5 m lateral space of the chassis, with outriggers flushed within body width of vehicle. The crane booms fold in between the twin columns over the slew. With all 4-outriggers positioned, the long reach of the telescopic booms can be fully extended. The outriggers have hydraulic-out as well as hydraulic-down movement. The operator can sit comfortably on the elevated seat fixed on slew column, from where he has full visibility of hook and load at all times. The in-line boom geometry makes the crane robust and there are no off-centre loads as in case of other designs where all the booms of the crane are not in-line with slew centre. A Liftmak truck mounted crane with grab attachment, mounted on 3-axle chassis has an extraordinary reach of 22 m – the longest in the industry, considering that the capacity at full reach is 1000 kg. The application depicted is for desilting of wide open drain. Also available are cranes for handling pole and cable drums.
