The design incorporates a special "Cup" like closed end that seals tight, and prevents the passage of moisture, vapour, liquid, dirt, etc, hence making the joint of assembly/fabrication waterproof, air and watertight, pressure tight. Other advantage is since the portion of the mandrel is permanently retained in the closed end of such blind rivets, the strength of the rivet and the joint is considerable high and also provides high resistance to vibration along with high aesthetics.
