Blind Nut-Inserts

Blind Nut-Inserts

Blind Nut-Inserts also known as Blind Rivet-Nut, Nut-Inserts, Crimp Nuts are designed to provide strong threads / threaded joints in sheet-metal, component, pipes, plates, sections, tubes etc. They can be installed from one side of the assembly even if there is no access from the backside, without damaging the parent surface. These Blind Nut-Inserts can be easily installed on a job in cold condition by means of manual / pneumatic / battery operated tools.

Crimping of nuts onto thin sheets as thin as 0.5 mm; solutions for replacing welding of a nut and weld nuts in sheet-metal/thin sheet-metal; crimping or insertions of a nut inside a box, pipe or where no access is permissible as in case of tubing or complex assemblies or hollow sections, thus providing strong, re-usable threads in sheet-metal; the use and application of these blind nuts as a combination of blind (pop) rivet + weld nut in a single joint and single action; and E. Engineering with aesthetics - in weldless fabricated assemblies.

  • Fast, easy installation- just 2-3 seconds flat in cold condition.
  • Strong, permanent threads in panels as thin as 0.5mm.
  • Blind, one-sided installation - can be set in sheet-metal, box, sq.pipe, tubes, hollow sections, profiles etc.
  • Can be set in painted / pre-coated panels, finished component and field jobs.
  • Works in close-to-edge applications, difficult to reach angles and positions.
  • A single nut can be set for a range of sheet-thickness.
  • Utilizes light, compact, cost effective, ergonomic installation tooling.
  • Acts as a spacer and standoff too.
  • Saves skilled labour cost/time, assembly cost/time.
  • Value Engineered solution with better aesthetics.
  • Can be set on various materials-sheet-metal, plastics, frp, resins, pcbs, etc.
  • No deformation/damage/corrosion to parent component.
  • Action of Blind Rivet + weldnut combined in a single fastener.
  • Round types for general applications, hex-type for high torsional resistance.
  • Replaces welding effectively at many places- saving welding consumables.
  • Can be easily adapted to the existing manufacturing procedure.
