Airjet Machine, Omni-F-2-E 190

Picanol has recently introduced an airjet weaving machine, Omni-F-2-E 190, the first Omni machine with crank motion for plain weave styles. This is expected to outperform all other Picanol machines-and probably most other machines too-with its tremendous speed of 1,600 revolutions per minute. This performance will be attained weaving an acetate lining fabric. A package change detector and the adaptive insertion control (AIC) compensate for variations in yarn characteristics from full to empty packages. This system keeps the pick length constant and avoids stoppages caused by too long or too short picks.
