Ultrasonic cleaning plant with material handling system

This specially designed ultrasonic cleaning plant is equipped with roller type conveyors and automatic materials handling system for components cleaning in large quantity. It brings down the rejection rate, increases production rate and reduces manpower, which results in cost reduction. The system mainly consists of: ultrasonic cleaner single chamber/multi-chamber; roller type conveyor to move workbaskets to loading stations and un stations; automatic walking beam type material handling system for transportation of work baskets from pick up point to cleaning chambers and back to pick-up point; it is provided with dunking facility for more efficient cleaning of components; and state-of-the-art control panel to operate the entire system. The cleaning cycle starts with the placement of workbasket with components on roller conveyor and the operator gives a start command. Roller conveyor moves the basket from loading position to pick up point. Now, the walking beam type material handling system picks up the basket and transfers the same into to ultrasonic tank. The basket is kept in the tank as per the set timing and once cleaning is over, it is dunked for effective solvent movement in order to remove the trapped particulate matter if any. After this process, the basket is lifted above the surface of the liquid and stops for some time to drip the solvent. Later it is lifted further up and returns to the pick up point for unloading. Once it is unloaded at this point, the roller conveyor moves the basket in forward direction to the unloading station. Thereafter, second workbasket on the roller conveyor is place and the cycle continues as required.
