Suhner India, a wholly owned subsidiary of a Swiss multinational, operates three Divisions in India, viz., Abrasive Power Tools division (APT), Low Cost Automation Division (LCA) and Rotating Power Transmission Division (RPT). The Abrasive Power Tools division specialises in Surface Finishing Solutions in stainless steel, stone, aviation and die mould segments. To offer these solutions, the company uses a demo concept – demo of finishes at customer premises with both abrasives and power tools. This demo service is available in some select cities at present. Being expanded to other cities step by step. Suhner range of products covers abrasives, singlephase electric powered tools, pneumatic tools, machines using flexible shafts, a range of accessories and attachments to suit these. The target segments are stainless steel fabricators, tool rooms, steel foundries, die-castors of aluminium components and people engaged in making monuments, memorials and sculptures in stone for export. Only customers who want a high level of quality will accept Suhner products.
