For industry, feeds and speeds often generate static year round but not enough to be a problem. Cold, dry winter air lets the surface charge build up and cause: materials to jam or tear; dust attraction to a surface; and electronic sensor to misread. Exair has a complete line of static control products. The Super Ion Air Knife is one of the most popular that is available in many lengths and floods a surface with static eliminating ions. Other styles include the Ion Air Gun for hand-held ionising blowoff, Ion Air Cannon for a focused, conical ionised airstream, and Ion Air Jet that is an effective spot cleaner. For situations where airflow would disturb the product, the company manufactures shockless Ionizing Bars in lengths up to 10' (3 m) and an Ionising Point for spot neutralisation.
