Rodless Band Cylinders

BC3 Series rodless band cylinders from Tol O Matic Inc are available with external shock absorbers to decelerate loads in high load/high speed application. Designed to handle high, off center loads with consistently smooth load positioning, these allow higher operating speeds with heavier loads and provide smoother deceleration and self compensate for load changes. In addition, they minimize shock load to the systems in which they are integrated and reduce maintenance downtime. They may be positioned at any point along the cylinder's stroke and feature a patented recirculating ball bearing system. The cylinders are preloaded to eliminate excess carrier deflection when subjected to loads. Designed to carry up to 1,091 Ibs in the 1./2 inch bore size, the sealed bearings provide long wear and extended performance. In addition, the bearing system provides the lowest possible breakaway pressure and one of the highest rated bending moments for its bore size. Designed for use is all types of automation, the BC3 is a proven cost effective alternative where auxiliary rail systems are needed to support the actuators. It does the work of both actuator and supporting rail system at a cost that is less. It also provides a simpler, cleaner system that requires less maintenance. Additional features include: internal ball bearing system has precision rails attached to the cylinder tube with fasteners and T nuts to hold bearing way firmly in place for smooth bearing ride and low friction; unique load bearing carrier rides on bearing rails for smooth load movements with minimal play; sealed rail system prevents contaminants from entering the bearing system. BC3 rodless cylinders are easily mounted from three sides and both ends. The cylinders have T slot grooves on all three sides for easy insertion of T nuts. On the outer side of the cylinder, T slot nuts are provided to mount the cylinder directly to a surface or they can be used to mount tube supports or other modules. Cylinder heads feature flush end mounting and single end porting with 6 port options to further simplify mounting and porting. BC3 rodless band cylinders are available in three bore sizes: 1.00"(25 mm), 1.50"(40 mm) and 2.00"(50 mm) in stroke length of 20 feet.
