Resistance impulse welding machine (pix impulsa)

Machine Tools (India) offers a resistance impulse welding machine, Model Impulsa 2.000 J, introduced by Impuls Schweisstechnik GmbH, Germany. It operates on the capacitor discharge principle with special impulse transformers. An easy to operate input panel allows the operator to program the machine with the required weld parameters (pressure, energy, setdown). The Simatic-controller initiates the weld process and monitors the results. The pneumatically operated welding head has an electrode pressure range of 1,220N - 7,360N, a throat depth of 80 mm, electrode distance of 90 mm between upper standard electrode and lower current conductor and an electrode stroke of 50 mm. Weighing approximately 360 kg, the control cabinet is 1,700 (H) x 1,200 (W) x 500(D) mm in size. The welding table weighs approximately 290 kg and is 805 (W) x 910 (D) mm in size. Its height can be adjusted between 1,360 mm and 1,600 mm. Easy to operate, the machine has memory for the following welding parameters: alphanumeric task name; welding force; welding time/capacity; welding energy; completion control; setdown deflection; retraction stroke control for upper electrode. One can also monitor the operating functions; welding energy; welding pressure; completion deflection; setdown deflection; and the produced parts counter.
