Profibus Angular Encoders

Trinity Interface Systems offers Profibus Angular Encoders. It is compact. Special features: compact multiturn with Profibus-DP; resolution of 12 bit single turn and 16 bit multi turn; magnetic sensing; resistant against shock, vibration, moisture and contamination; and low mounting depth of 42 mm. Features and benefits: an integrated Profibus-DP interface along with an extremely economical connection concept enables the new absolute multi turn MAGRES contained in high density housing. The integration of the encoder in the Profibus network is achieved by two M12 plugs for the bus input and the bus output. This permits wiring with ready-made standard cables and through-connection of the bus through the encoder directly to other bus subscribers. The bus address is conveniently set with easily accessible and simply operated rotary switches. If required, an integrated terminal resistor can be switched in. LED indicators show the status of the angular encoder and the network communications. The resolution is 12 bits for single turn and 16 bits for multi turn. This rugged encoder also provides a long service life, high reliability, economy simple installation and maintenance.
